RECEPTION DESK
This desk is built of brushed and laquered aluminum, MDF, and glass. The glass shelf is supported by shaped slabs of cherry wood with stainless steel brackets.

"MDF" stands for "medium density fiberboard." It is commonly used as a substrate for cabinetry that will be covered with veneer or plastic laminate. Here it is used as a finish material and covered with a clear lacquer.
